The story

Indonesia’s rainforests are vanishing at an alarming rate, uprooting thousands of orangutans from the familiar sights, scents, and warmth of an Uma (home). Few are fortunate enough to have the chance to escape their alien surroundings and get back to Uma, though the journey may cost a lifetime, as one must rediscover their true self. The journey of an orangutan back to Uma unfolds across 2,000 frames, tracing through urban spaces, carrying footprints from the forest.
