The story

During the Republic of China era, a series of murder cases occur in Fuhong Town, including tomb-digging and corpse-whipping, the actress Wen Xiao'e who is buried alive, and the killing of the gentleman Mr. Jia. The opera troupe leader, He Jiu (Uncle Nine), assists the police officer Li Changqing in the investigation.
