The story

Divided into two parts, *The Drowning of the Giant Turd* tells the tragic story of war and love between two Portuguese soldiers in 1969. Stationed with Special Squadron 237—under the command of Commander Pilinha—in Angola during the Colonial War, soldiers João and Roberto fall secretly in love. However, in a violent war, one's deepest desires are destined to turn into one's greatest fears.
