The story

Cites were obligated in the middle ages to defend themselves against plunderers and against the claim to power of neighboring lords. Cities, who were especially blooming economically, stirred the envy of foreign troops. This puppet-animation film shows the occupation of a city in the 14th century before the invention of gunpowder with a detailed portrayal of the weapons' technology of the middle-ages.
