The story

After their stolen truck runs out of gas on country back roads, siblings Carter and Zoe Evans must walk to a gas station in the dead of night. Once there, they encounter a deputy named Jeff who is suspicious that the sheriff's children are out past curfew. After he insists on giving the children a ride, Carter comes up with a harrowing plan to keep both him and his little sister safe, at any cost. —Brian Cloutier
