The story
On 1st May 1946, 800 Pilbara Aboriginal pastoral workers walked off Pilbara stations in protest about pay and working conditions. So began the great Pilbara Strike. This film commemorates the 60th anniversary of that event and examines the historical and continuing impact of the strike. Includes interviews with strikers and their families.
